Bandelier National Monument

The Bandelier National Monument Poster measures 13″ x 19″ and is an original work by Robert Decker. The poster is based on a photograph he took while visiting his daughter, Alexandra, in Los Alamos, NM. The image is taken from inside the Alcove House, which is only accessible by climbing tall, steep wooden ladders. Established in 1916, Bandelier National Monument protects over 33,000 acres of rugged but beautiful canyon and mesa country as well as evidence of a human presence going back more than 11,000 years. Petroglyphs, dwellings carved into the soft rock cliffs, and standing masonry walls pay tribute to the early days of a culture that still survives in the surrounding communities. Bandelier National Monument is located in New Mexico.
